To them it was old man's music. They wanted punk, ska, hardcore, psychobilly. They wanted to mosh. When Batuco died in 2016, they realized they didn't have to choose. Produced by Grammy-nominated guitarist and psychedelic bolerista Adrian Quesada, it opens Norteño with \"Arboledas,\" featuring LA LOM bandleader Zac Sokolow, then detonates into the pop-punk-meets-oi of \"Sombra\" with Spike from Me First and the Gimme Gimmes on backing vocals. \"José Dolores\" is their first real move into salsa — a tribute to their father, carried by the horn section of Bogotá salsa-punks La Pambelé.
