After years holding down a legendary residency at LA's Seven Grand, Magulo is finally ready to give the world what the room already knew.

The five-piece is a collective of heavy hitters who've toured with some of the biggest names in music but have always called Magulo home base:

Aaron Leibowitz (aka Ronny Sax) — saxophone, bandleader
Christian Wunderlich — guitar
Gabe Steiner — trumpet, keys
JP Maramba — bass
Vince Fossett — drums

Between them, these players perform and record regularly with Mayer Hawthorne, ZHU, and The Marías, among many others.

Their sound is a live-wire melding of afrobeat, Ethiojazz, surf rock, Motown, and whatever else the moment demands. Rooted in improvisation, built on trust, and tight as hell despite a name that translates from Tagalog to "disheveled, messy."

MAGULO, their debut album, was captured in a single session in a Hollywood Hills living room steeped in musical history. Seven tracks deep, from a reimagined Mulatu Astatke classic to Henry Mancini's "Lujon" to deep Funkadelic cuts, it's the definitive document of a band that's been quietly building something extraordinary for nearly two decades.
